Xwork

Client Service Agreement

The terms that apply to clients who post jobs and hire on Xwork. Read together with the Terms of Service and User Agreement.

1. Posting & hiring

You can post fixed-price jobs for free and set the scope, budget and any screening questions. When you send an offer and a freelancer accepts, a contract is formed on the terms you both agree.

2. Funding & escrow

Fixed-price work is funded into escrow before it begins. Money you fund is held securely and released to the freelancer only when you approve a milestone (or when the published auto-approval window elapses). This protects both sides.

3. Fees & payment methods

You can post and hire without a platform fee; any payment-processing charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm a payment. When real-money processing is enabled, your payment details are handled by regulated PCI-DSS-compliant providers — Xwork never stores your raw card number.

4. Approvals, refunds & disputes

Review submitted work and approve it to release payment, or request changes. If something goes wrong, try to resolve it directly first; otherwise open a dispute and our team will review the escrow record and evidence to reach a fair outcome. Refunds are returned to your original method.

5. Ownership & confidentiality

Ownership of deliverables is governed by your contract with the freelancer and typically transfers to you on full payment. Handle any personal data or confidential materials responsibly and lawfully.

6. Conduct

Follow the Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy. Attempting to take work or payments off-platform to avoid fees or escrow removes your protections and may lead to account action.
